Silent Film

1. First, I created a storyboard to follow through. I then took an I-Pad home on a weekend to film with my friend and brother. I then came back to school the following Monday and airdropped the videos and photos to my classroom computer. Next, I opened up photoshop and added in the photos to make the movie poster and I made the movie title in Adobe Illustrator. Then, I made the motion graphic parts in Adobe Illustrator, and animated them in After Effects. Following that, I started editing the footage, starting with muting the original clips and adding the background music. Next up, I shortened some clips that had extra seconds of unnecessary footage, and added the dialogue cards. Following that, I added the credits and motion graphic at the end, and uploaded the video to my youtube channel.

2. The easiest part of this project for me was the filming and editing, as it didn't take long. The most difficult part was thinking of the story and making the storyboard. I overcame this by just making a silly plot :]

3. I worked on this by myself, aside from the filming of course.

4. Based on the learning target, "Understand the component steps and skills required to design, edit, and produce a Silent Film by producing a storyboard, script, audio and video clips that use characterization, style, and related elements for specific aesthetic purposes ". I believe my project demonstrates a meeting of the learning target as I understand how the editing process works and was able to create a silent film with an overall style.
